ORGANIC MATTER IS NOT A FIRST ORDER CONSUMER. IT IS JUST DEAD MATTER. THE ARROW POINTING TO IT IS REALLY NOT CORRECT IN MY OPINION. THE BACTERIA IN THIS WEB ARE NOT FIRST ORDER CONSUMERS. FIRST ORDER CONSUMERS EAT PLANTS. SOME BACTERIA ARE PRODUCERS, THE OTHERS ARE DECOMPOSERS.
